In the realisation of the project, Csurgó and the surrounding 8 municipalities: Berzence, Csurgó Nagymarton, Porrog, Porrog King, Porrogszentpál, Somogybükkösd, Szenta, Somogycsicsó are affected. The affected municipalities are characterised by an ageing population, decreasing numbers of children and increasing emigration. There are more and more elderly, lonely, sick people who are less and less able to rely on the help of their children. The main problems of elderly people are: loneliness, isolation. Solitary life is a significant psychological strain, they can be separated from society. In many cases, their social relationships are narrowed down, they hardly have a family background. The lack of a family background increases the risk of exclusion. It is typical that older people as long as they can try to take care of themselves, try to live independently, require mental care, conversation, care for them. Their accumulated intellectual capital, their desire to do is valuable to society, to the family. Where possible, young people live in a separate household, but there is also a growing trend in the emigration of young people due to the limited number of job opportunities. As a result of unemployment, an increasing proportion of the population suffers from poverty or poor conditions. In many cases, adequate meals of the population are not guaranteed. The above is further complicated by the lack of infrastructure in small settlements. Due to the financial difficulties of the municipalities, there is not enough money to provide social benefits. Catering is provided in all municipalities in some form, but there is still much to be done in the area of home assistance and day care. The tasks of social and child welfare and personal care in the area of development are carried out by the municipalities concerned through an association. The municipal councils of the 9 municipalities set up a joint institutional-maintenance association called Csurgó-based Social and Child Welfare Association based on Act III of 1993 on Social Administration and Social Benefits. The Association established the Csurgó City Social Institution to carry out its tasks. The institution shall carry out the following tasks: — day care for the elderly, — social catering, — home assistance, — crèche services. Professional units of the institution: Social Service Provider (8840 Csurgó, Basakúti u.3.), City Cradle (8840 Csurgó, Baksay u. 9.). The overall objective of the project ‘Development of basic social infrastructure in Csurgón’ is to ensure equal access to basic social services, affordable, sustainable and high-quality provision of basic social services, in order to improve the institutional framework to improve the situation of groups at risk of social disruption and to increase employment levels. The specific objective of the project is to develop the infrastructure, microbus and equipment of the Csurgó City Social Institution (8840 Csurgó, Basakúti 3.) in order to continue the existing services in a more cultural, energy efficient building. As part of the project, the infrastructure development involves the change of doors and windows of the Csurgó City Social Institution, facade thermal insulation, roof replacement, modernisation of the heating and electricity network, and accessibility. Within the framework of the project, microbuses, bicycles and equipment necessary for operation and professional tasks will be purchased during the purchase of equipment. A projekt megvalósulásában Csurgó és a környező 8 település: Berzence, Csurgónagymarton, Porrog, Porrogszentkirály, Porrogszentpál, Somogybükkösd, Szenta, Somogycsicsó érintett. Az érintett településekre jellemző a lakosság elöregedése, a csökkenő gyermeklétszám és növekvő elvándorlás mellett. Egyre több az idős, magányos, beteg ember, akik gyermekeik segítségére egyre kevésbé számíthatnak. Az időskorúak fő problémái: elmagányosodás, elszigetelődés. A magányos élet jelentős pszichés megterhelést jelent, elszakadhatnak a társadalomtól. Sok esetben a társas kapcsolataik beszűkültek, alig rendelkeznek családi háttérrel. A családi háttér hiánya rendkívüli módon megnöveli a kirekesztetté válás kockázatát. Jellemző, hogy az idős emberek ameddig csak tudják megpróbálják ellátni magukat, megpróbálnak önállóan élni, igénylik a mentális gondozást, a beszélgetést, a velük való törődést. Felhalmozott szellemi tőkéjük, tenni akarásuk értékes a társadalom, a család részére. A fiatalok lehetőség szerint külön háztartásba élnek, de egyre erőteljesebben jelentkezik a fiatalok elvándorlása is a munkalehetőségek korlátozott száma miatt. A munkanélküliség következében a lakosság egyre nagyobb hányada szegényedik el vagy él rossz körülmények között. Számos esetben a lakosság megfelelő étkezése sem biztosított. A fentieket tovább nehezít a kistelepülések hiányos infrastruktúrája. Az önkormányzatok pénzügyi nehézségei miatt a szociális ellátások biztosítására sem jut elég pénz. Az étkeztetést minden településen biztosítják valamilyen formában, de a házi segítségnyújtás és a nappali ellátás területén még sok a tennivaló. A szociális és gyermekjóléti, személyes gondoskodás feladatait a fejlesztéssel érintett területen az érintett önkormányzatok társulás útján látják el. A 9 település önkormányzatának képviselő-testületei Csurgó Központú Szociális és Gyermekjóléti Társulás néven közös intézményfenntartó társulást hoztak létre Csurgó székhellyel a szociális igazgatásról és szociális ellátásokról szóló 1993. évi III. törvény alapján. A Társulás a feladatok ellátására létrehozta a Csurgói Városi Szociális Intézményt. Az intézmény az alábbi feladatokat látja el: - idősek nappali ellátása, - szociális étkeztetés, - házi segítségnyújtás, - bölcsődei ellátás. Az intézmény szakmai egységei: Szociális Szolgáltató (8840 Csurgó, Basakúti u.3.), Városi Bölcsőde (8840 Csurgó, Baksay u. 9.). A „Szociális alapinfrastruktúra fejlesztése Csurgón” című projekt átfogó célja a szociális alapszolgáltatások egyenlő esélyű hozzáférése, megfizethető, fenntartható és magas színvonalú biztosítása a szociális alapszolgáltatás területén, hogy ezzel is javuljon a társadalmi leszakadással veszélyeztetett csoportok helyzetének javítására irányuló intézményi háttér, és növekedjen a foglalkoztatási szint. A projekt konkrét célja a Csurgói Városi Szociális Intézmény (8840 Csurgó, Basakúti 3.) infrastrukturális fejlesztése, mikrobusz és eszközbeszerzése, hogy a meglévő szolgáltatások kulturáltabb, energetikailag hatékonyabb épületben működjenek tovább. A projekt keretében az infrastrukturális fejlesztés során a Csurgói Városi Szociális Intézmény nyílászárócseréjére, homlokzati hőszigetelésre, tetőcserére, a fűtés és a villamos hálózat korszerűsítésére, akadálymentesítésre kerül sor. A projekt keretében az eszközbeszerzés során mikrobusz, kerékpárok és a működéshez, szakmai feladatokhoz szükséges eszközök kerülnek beszerzésre.
