A kutyakozmetikus tevékenységi körébe tartozik a kutyák, macskák illetve kisebb háziállatok teljes körű kozmetikai ellátása. Magába foglalja a mindennapos és az időszakos ápolást illetve a higiéniai feladatok ellátását. Munkám függ az ellátandó kutya- vagy macska fajtától és az állat gazdájának igényeitől. A teljeskörű kozmetikázás a személyes konzultációt, a bontást, a fürdetést, szárítást, kefélést, nyírást/trimmelést, továbbá a szemek, a fülek, a karmok, a tappancsok és a bűzmirigyek kezelését foglalja magába. Tevékenységemet nem feltétlenül az állat gazdájának jelenlétében végzem. Terveim között szerepel a kutya taxi háztól házig szolgáltatás, amivel a mozgásukban korlátozott és idősödő ügyfeleket kívánom megcélozni. Ahhoz, hogy vállalkozásom sikeresen működjön tiszteletben tartom a határidőket és igyekszem mindig pontos maradni. Rendelkezem a megfelelő szaktudással, szakismerettel, gyakorlati helyemen szerzett tapasztalatom kimagasló és képes vagyok önállóan is dolgozni. Jól tűröm a stresszt, nagyobb nyomás alatt is megbízhatóan végzem a munkámat. Kreativitásom és kézügyességem kiemelkedő. Munkám az ellátandó kutya vagy macska fajtájától illetve a gazdik egyéni igényeitől függ. Egyes kutyák- illetve macskák ápolása rövidebb, másoké több időt vesz igénybe. Ettől eltérően körülbelül 2-3 órát vehet igénybe. Amikor egy kutya vagy macska először érkezik a kozmetikában, még nem tudom, hogy hogy fog viselkedni az idegen kézre. Ezért a jó kapcsolat kialakítása és az állat feltétel nélküli szeretete nagyon fontos a munkavégzésemhez. A kezelés megkezdése előtt egyeztetek a kedves ügyfeleimmel, felmérve az igényeket, elvárásokat. Ezek ismeretében teszek ajánlatot a kutyus fajtájának és szokásainak megfelelő kozmetikai kezelés tartalmára vonatkozóan, de természetesen a végső szó a gazdiké. Szívesen állok rendelkezésre akár egy díjmentes szakmai konzultációra egy szolgáltatás megrendelése esetén. Kutyatartóként tisztában vagyok vele, hogy a gazdik maguk is szokták végezni a kozmetikázást, azonban a szakszerű ápoltság és a kutya egészségének hosszú távra történő megőrzésének érdekében, valamint az igazán esztétikus megjelenés eléréséhez ajánlott a kutyakozmetika 8-10 hetente történő felkeresése. Az első lépés a bontás, ahol a szőrt csomómentesre fésülöm az ennek megfelelő eszközökkel. Fontos, hogy csak teljesen csomómentes kutyát szabad fürdetni, illetve fazonra nyírni. Második lépés a fürdetés. Fürdetésükhöz szintén a fajtajellegének megfelelő speciális samponokat használok, esetleges balzsamokat, kondiciónáló készítményeket. A fürdetést egy hidralikusan emelhető csúszásmentes fürdetőkádban végzem. Harmadik lépés a kefével való szárítás (fönözés), amit hajszárítóval vagy az erre speciális vízkicsapató eszközzel végzek. Ez a lépés rendkivül fontos a kutyakozmetika során, ugyanis göndörödésre hajlamos szőrzetet fönözés nélkül nem lehet szépen megnyírni. Negyedik lépés a géppel vagy ollóval történő nyírás megfelelő nyírógéppel és speciális ollókkal, illetve a trimmelés, ahol az elhalt szőrszálakat távolítjuk el az ennek megfelelő eszköz segítségével (trimmelőkés, gumiúj). Ezek az eszközök kifejezetten az állatápolási célra készültek. Az ötödik egyben utolsó lépés a karmok illetve a fülek ápolása. Munkámat egy szintén hidralikusan emelhető speciális burkolató (csúszás gátló, könnyen tisztítható) asztal mellett fogom végezni. Munkavégzésem során elkerülhetetlen a vegyszerek, tisztítószerek használata, valamint a kutya szőrének a belégzése, amit irritációt okozhat. Részleges megoldást jelethet a problémára az egészségre káros vegyszerek, tisztítószerek minimális alkalmazása, szájmaszk viselése és egyéb védőeszközök használata. A munka befejeztével minden egyes állat után letakarítom a munkaasztalt, fertőtlenítem a használt szerszámokat, eszközöket. Összetakarítom a levágott szőrt és az egyéb hulladékot. A vállalkozásomat egyéni vállalkozásként tervezem elindítani, melyhez a vállalkozói igazolvány rendelkezésemre áll. Az első néhány évben önfoglalkoztatást végzek, saját magamon kívül más munkavállaló alkalmazását nem tervezem. A tevékenységem végzéséhez az üzlethelyiséget bérlem, a megfelelő üzlethelyiséget megtaláltam, a bérleti szerződés rendelkezésemre áll. Üzletemet Szombathely egy forgalmas pontjában, népes lakótelep közepén létesítem, ahol a potenciális ügyfelek nagy számban megtalálhatók.
