The world has changed. Jobs are no longer life-long and work is becoming more and more flexible. Development and learning is not only related to the current profession but also needs to be seen more broadly. Employees are still not sufficiently aware of the need for sustainable employability and that they are also responsible for their personal development and careers, in addition to the employer’s responsibility. Self-reflection and in particular the taking of steps proves to be too far for many of them. At Berend Botje, the first awareness among employees in the workplace towards development- and talent-oriented work is present, but the actual action to develop is still insufficient. In order to keep employees sustainable, we would like to encourage them to do so. Berend Botje wants to be a learning organisation and that is a process that both the employer and the employee are part of. Allowing employees to learn as much as possible from intrinsic motivation is the starting point. As an employer, we believe that when we focus on the intrinsic motivation of the individual employee, we can promote the learning culture for employees. In order to stimulate and develop our learning culture as optimally as possible, Berend Botje needs targeted research and advice. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(Dutch)
