The KNGU is one of the four largest sports federations in the Netherlands. More than 1,000 gym clubs are affiliated with a total of over 240,000 athletes. A number of years ago a path took place in which KNGU’s strategy was re-examined. This trajectory has been set up, due to the disappointing results of the old strategy. A better strategy has been worked together. Learning to look inside from the outside and make the KNGU future-proof, that was the joint task! As a follow-up to this, KNGU now also wants to examine its work organisation. Together, new ways of excelling employees are being sought. In the run-up to the 2019 World Cup, a project has now been formulated to build a culture of learning, development and performance. It works with employees to increase their own sustainable employability and uses guidance activities to promote the learning culture within the organisation. In order to continue professionalising in top sport, it is necessary for the KNGU to build a powerful and future-proof organisation. Not only does physical development contribute to the result, but in order to remain at the top international level, encouraging sustainable employability of employees is of great benefit and added value. Within this learning culture, it is about maximising employee competences and talent and creating a culture in which engagement and taking ownership is the norm. The KNGU realises that this requires a cultural change in which employees need to adapt their mindset and behavior through awareness and self-insight. De KNGU is één van de vier grootste sportbonden in Nederland. Bij de gymsportbond zijn ruim 1.000 gymclubs aangesloten met in totaal ruim 240.000 sporters. Een aantal jaren geleden heeft een traject plaatsgevonden, waarin de strategie van de KNGU opnieuw onder de loep is genomen. Dit traject is ingericht, vanwege de tegenvallende resultaten van de oude strategie. Samen is gewerkt aan een betere strategie. Van buiten naar binnen leren kijken en de KNGU toekomstbestendig maken, dat was de gezamenlijke taak! Als vervolg hierop wil de KNGU nu ook haar arbeidsorganisatie onder de loep nemen. Met elkaar wordt er gezocht naar nieuwe manieren om medewerkers te laten excelleren. In de aanloop naar het WK in 2019 is nu een project geformuleerd om te bouwen aan een cultuur van leren, ontwikkelen en presteren. Hierin wordt met medewerkers gewerkt aan het verhogen van hun eigen duurzame inzetbaarheid en worden begeleidingsactiviteiten ingezet om de leercultuur binnen de organisatie te bevorderen. Om te kunnen blijven professionaliseren binnen de topsport is het voor de KNGU noodzakelijk om te bouwen aan een krachtige en toekomstbestendige organisatie. Niet alleen fysieke ontwikkeling draagt bij aan het resultaat, maar om op internationaal topniveau aangehaakt te blijven is juist ook het stimuleren van duurzame inzetbaarheid van medewerkers van groot nut en meerwaarde. Binnen deze leercultuur gaat het om het optimaal benutten van competenties en talent van medewerkers en het creëren van een cultuur waarbij betrokkenheid en het nemen van eigen verantwoordelijkheid de norm is. De KNGU realiseert zich dat dit een cultuuromslag vereist waarbij medewerkers door bewustzijn en zelfinzicht hun mindset en gedrag moeten aanpassen. De KNGU wil deze cultuuromslag gaan realiseren en zal investeren in haar arbeidsorganisatie door het inschakelen van extern advies om de leercultuur voor medewerkers te bevorderen. (Dutch)
