The Dutch Bible Society (NBG) is an organisation that allows people at home and abroad to discover, experience and pass on the Bible. The NBG employs 48 employees. The NBG wants to work proactively on the theme of sustainable employability. It is noted that the workload among employees is increasing. In addition, the NBG wants to anticipate individual ambitions and development opportunities of employees so that they can continue to be engaged and vitally engaged in their current position and/or to become a different function within the organisation. Furthermore, the NBG wants to promote a healthy lifestyle among employees in such a way that every employee can function in a vital way. To this end, the NBG starts the project A healthy working environment for vital employees. The first step in the project is to set up questionnaires among employees. In this, the employees can give their views on, among other things, the experienced workload and work stress, physical and mental health and the use of their knowledge, skills, development wishes and ambitions. The results are then discussed and improved plans are formulated jointly with the employees through improvement workshops. Work experience workshops are also organised in which employees are trained to determine their desired situation with regard to work pressure and the organisation of the work. Finally, employees are given the opportunity to receive feedback and personal coaching through individual trajectories to stimulate their development and to ensure that they continue to function for a long time within the NBG.
