The absenteeism in Vilente has been higher than the average in the VVT sector in recent years. This exerts pressure on organisational performance and staffing levels. Vilente is therefore forced to develop a good curative HR policy, but also wants to turn to a preventive HR policy that focuses on the sustainable employability of workers and which makes it possible to respond to recent and future developments in care. This has led Vilente to carry out further research into the sustainable employability (DI) of its employees and where there are opportunities for improvements. With the help of an integrated approach (see www.handreikingdi.nl), the project “Sustainable Participation @ Vilente” will be launched. The project aims to achieve the following results: 1. An advice with implementation plan for preventive HR/DI policy within Vilente. 2. Support for the advice to be implemented from the entire organisation, by actively involving staff from different levels of the organisation in the decision-making process through the working group and the discussions described in the project description. 3. Securing project results by setting up a DI working group that promotes and coordinates the integrated approach to DI policy and which ensures that the advice resulting from the research is secured within Vilente (see www.handreikingdi.nl). With these results, Vilente takes important steps towards a preventive HR policy that focuses on the sustainable employability of employees and which makes it possible to prevent sick leave and to respond to recent and future developments in care.
