The project aims to ensure that more small and medium-sized companies in Gävleborg enter an international market. This will be done by building a clear, effective and accessible support system for enterprises. The system shall be characterised by cooperation, responsiveness and inclusiveness, which is based on the diversity of needs of companies. On the basis of the needs, effective measures are being shaped to support companies in their development. Knowledge and capacity of promoters will increase when it comes to internationalisation in general so that Gävleborg becomes a more attractive region to operate, live and invest in. Improved communication, information support and participation in national promoters contexts allow companies to benefit from more opportunities for international collaboration. The project’s activities are also expected to contribute to a green, digital and resilient recovery of the economy. The project has the following objectives: —A regional strategy/plan for internationalisation has been developed. —At least 250 companies receiving and 100 responding to the business survey. —25 companies participating in export programmes. —At least 15 new export accounts/new export companies based on project operations. —At least 10 existing export companies that have increased their exports through a new customer or new market. —At least 50 companies participating at each export and investment day. —At least 25 companies participating in each inspiration seminar. — At least 60 piloted companies. —At least 6 of the county’s 10 municipalities have made a survey of their needs regarding exports, investment and establishment issues. —Gävleborg has mapped at least three of Business Sweden’s business ecosystem in relation to the county and participates in the cooperation on these. —At least 75 % of promoters feel that cooperation has become more effective. —The proportion of supported under-represented groups has increased. To achieve these objectives, the project has planned the following work packages/modules: Module 1- Strategic Planning Module 2- Strengthening stakeholder collaboration Module 3 Knowledge and communication Module 4- Support and advice for SMEs (two sub-projects; export programmes that Region Gävleborg is responsible for and export slots for which ALMI GävleDala is responsible). Through set goals and planned activities, the project will contribute to increased export growth in the region as well as an increased transition capacity among participating companies. Participating companies have also developed their sustainability work and contribute to a green and digital transition as well as an increased focus on diversity and gender equality work. (Swedish)
