Anatomical knowledge and a 3-dimensional imagination are of growing importance for optimal exploitation and mitigation of medical risks in the application of medical technology, such as viewing operations. Viemr and the anatomy section of the UMCG therefore jointly aim to develop and demonstrate a virtual interactive human anatomy platform for healthcare professionals (in training). The platform provides photorealistic 3-dimensional visualisation and interaction with anatomical preparations on different devices and in virtual or augmented reality. It is, as it were, a virtual 3-dimensional encyclopedia of the human body. The platform responds to a growing need for anatomical knowledge and training opportunities among healthcare professionals (in training). (English)

(Dutch)
