Selin Dzhevdet started his business in 2018 with the cultivation of tomatoes — greenhouse production on her property, but as the cultivation of tomatoes — greenhouse production is labor intensive and requires perseverance, and Selin Dzhevdet will pursue higher education and will not be able to spend enough time and therefore move towards the cultivation of permanent crops — apricots. The village of Iskra is the village where there are most apricots acres, as the climate and soil are very favorable for this plantation. The farmer leases two long-term properties in the land of the village of Iskra and one property with a one-year contract, the total decares being 10,999 decares. The variety of apricots is of Romanian origin, obtained by crossing Louisetova x Silistra 305. It was imported in 1965. Basic standard variety distributed in all apricot production areas in the country. The meat is orange-yellow, juicy, tight, sweet-acid, aromatic, of very good quality. It separates from the stone. Fruits withstand manipulation and transport. Stored for up to 8-10 days. They are suitable for fresh consumption, processing into compote, jam and nectar. The acres planted 33 trees. Селин Джевдет започва дейността си през 2018 година с отглеждането на домати - оранжерийно производство в нает от нея имот, но тъй като отглеждането на домати - оранжерийно производство е трудоемко и изисква постоянство, а Селин Джевдет ще следва висше образование и няма да може да отделя достатъчно време и затова се насочва в отглеждането на трайни насаждения - кайсии. Село Искра е селото, където има най много декари с кайсии, тъй кто климата и почвата са много благоприятни за това насаждение. Земеделският стопанин арендова дългосрочно два имота в землището на с. Искра и един имот с едногодишен договор, като общите декари са 10,999 дка. Сортът на кайсиите е мъркулещи и е от румънски произход, получен чрез кръстосване на Луизетова x Силистренска 305. У нас е внесен през 1965г. Основен стандартен сорт, разпространен във всички кайсиево производителни райони в страната. Месото е оранжево-жълто, сочно, стегнато, сладко–възкисело, ароматично, с много добро качество. Отделя се от костилката. Плодовете издържат на манипулация и транспорт. Съхраняват се до 8-10 дни. Подходящи са за консумация в прясно състояние, преработка в компот, конфитюр и нектар. На декар са засадени 33 броя дръвчета. (Bulgarian)
