The main objective of this project proposal is to preserve marine biodiversity and ways to prevent and restore human-exploited species and territories/water areas. To this end, the beneficiary and the project partners will carry out a survey, monitoring, mapping and monitoring of species in the range from the Gulf of Varna to Cape Emine. On the basis of the study carried out, the following analyses will be prepared: analysis of the real state of the marine environment (oceanographic data) — temperature, salinity, plankton, algae flowering, turbidity, etc.; an analysis of the interaction of all species, the impact of fishing, the impact of the state of the marine environment, which will clarify the causes of the real state of biodiversity and its degradation, and the reduction. In order to reduce the impact of fisheries on the marine environment and to reduce unwanted catches, training will be carried out for fishermen and other persons working for bodies responsible for the management of marine protected areas. To raise awareness of marine protected areas, 4 conferences will be held, two immediately after the start of the project and two at the end of its implementation. The objective is to reach the highest possible number of people employed in administrations, hotels, restaurants and other tourism products from the benefits of alternative forms of tourism in Natura 2000.The main objective of the project will contribute to the achievement of specific objective 1 ‘Reducing the impact of fisheries on the marine environment, including avoiding and reducing as far as possible unwanted catches’ and specific objective 2 ‘Conservation and restoration of aquatic biodiversity and ecosystems’ under Union Priority 1.
