С реализирането на проекта, ще се постигне:1. Подпомагане на интегрираното управление и повишаване на сигурността на границите РБ и на ЕС. 2. Повишаване ефективността на работата на граничните служители, чрез използването на специализирано оборудване за биометрична идентификация.3. Подобряване на техническия капацитет на ГДГП.Системата ще се реализира с отделни сайтове и репликация на база данни с размер до 30 000 фотографии за разпознаване в реално време на всеки сайт. Репликацията ще се извършва в подходящ времеви отрязък на денонощието през мрежата за предаване на данни на МВР.Ще бъдат достъпни функциите за управление и за off line проверка на Централния сайт в база данни с обем до 1 млн фотографии, организирани съгласно технологичните възможности на системата, както и използване функционалностите на изградената система.
