The aim of the project is to build a composting plant for separately collected green and biodegradable waste of the Municipality of Vratsa and the Municipality of Mezdra in RSUO Vratsa. The construction of this installation will contribute to reducing the amount of municipal waste landfilled in the Regional landfill for non-hazardous waste in Vratsa by providing additional capacity for separate collection and composting of green and/or biodegradable waste. The proposed site for construction of the facility is located on the territory of the Municipality of Vratsa in Shumaka locality, P.I. 12259.788.9 in the land of Vratsa and occupies part of the assigned property, in which is located a regional landfill for household waste — Vratsa region, its area amounts to 101915 sq.m. The site has built infrastructure and does not need to build a new one. Planned for construction and operation are the following facilities:- composting installation with capacity of up to 8 000 t/a — introduction of a system for separate collection of green waste, including containers with capacity of 1,1 cubic population and no need for the construction of a new one. The following facilities are planned for construction and operation are the following facilities: — composting installation with capacity of up to 8 000 t/a — introduction of a system for separate collection of green waste, including containers with capacity of 1,1 cubic management and no need for construction of new ones. Planned for construction and operation are the following facilities: composting installation with capacity of up to 8 000 t/a — introduction of a system for separate collection of green waste, including containers with capacity of 1,1 cubic population and not necessary for the construction of the municipal waste. The municipal waste management needs are to extend the municipal waste. In this regard, the implementation of the project will improve the quality of life of the local population of the two municipalities by introducing sustainable mechanisms for environmental protection and familiarising the target groups with the different aspects of waste management. The focus of the project is on the possibilities of separating and recovering green and biodegradable waste, increasing ecological self-awareness and changing human behaviour. Целта на проекта е изграждане на компостираща инсталация за разделно събрани зелени и биоразградими отпадъци на Община Враца и Община Мездра в РСУО Враца. Изграждането на тази инсталация ще допринесе за намаляване на количеството депонирани битови отпадъци в Регионално депо за неопасни отпадъци в гр. Враца чрез осигуряване на допълнителен капацитет за разделно събиране и компостиране на зелени и/или биоразградими отпадъци. Предложената площадка за изграждане на съоръжението се разполага на територията на Община Враца в местност „Шумака”, П.И. 12259.788.9 в землището на гр. Враца и заема част от отредения имот, в който е разположено действащо регионално депо за битови отпадъци – регион Враца, нейната площ възлиза на 101915 кв.м.На обекта има изградена инфраструктура и не се налага изграждането на нова.Планирани за изграждане и експлоатация са следните съоръжения:- компостираща инсталация с капацитет до 8 000 т/год.- въвеждане система за разделно събиране на зелени отпадъци, в това число контейнери с вместимост 1,1 куб.м (574 бр.) и 4 бр. сметоизвозващи машини.С изграждането на компостиращата инсталация ще се удължи експлоатационния срок на депото за битови отпадъци, чрез значително намаляване на годишни количества депонирани отпадъци.Целевата група на настоящото проектно предложение са жителите на общините Враца и Мездра.Социалната приемливост изисква системите за управление на отпадъците да отговарят на потребностите на местното население. В тази връзка изпълнението на проекта ще подобри качеството на живот на местното население на двете общини чрез въвеждане на устойчиви механизми за опазване на околната среда и запознаване на целевите групи с различните аспекти в управлението на отпадъците. Акцентът на проекта е поставен върху възможностите за разделяне и оползотворяване на зелени и биоразградими отпадъци, повишаване на екологичното самосъзнание и промяна в поведението на хората.
