Priketeiksi pakattu puru voidaan kuljettaa järkevästi pidempiä matkoja.Prikettikone on välttämätön, jotta höyläämötoimintaa voidaan jatkaa. Nyt purusiilot ovat täynnä ja purua ei saada myytyä sitä vauhtia, mitä sitä tuotannosta tulee joka päivä.Prikettikone mahdollistaa höyläämötoiminnan jatkuvuuden sekä mahdollistaa purun jatkojalostettavuuden, kun sitä voidaan kuljettaa pidempiä matkoja järkevään hintaan (mahtuu enemmän kun on puristettua).
