RMC:n nykyistä omaa terästuotantokapasiteettia ja laatutasoa tulee nostaa nykyisestä. Tavoitteena on myös ympäristöystävällisemmät ja energiatehokkaammat tuotantomenetelmät. Lisäksi suunnittelusta tuleva digitaalinen tieto tullaan siirtämään suoraan tuotantolaitteiden käyttöön. mikä vähentää työvaiheita ja tekee terästuotannosta tehokkaampaa, ympäristöä vähemmän kuormittavaa ja takaa tarkemman lopputuloksen. Vähimmäiskapasiteetin ja terästuotannon osavalmistuksen laadun määrittelee LV2020 runkotuotanto, joka turvallisuussyistä kokonaisuudessaan toteutetaan Rauman telakalla. LV2020 runko valmistetaan pääosin ohuista levyistä ja näistä valmistettavien osien työstämisen tarkkuutta ja laatua tulee nostaa. Näillä investoinneilla mahdollistetaan LV2020 rungon tuotannollinen toteutus. (Finnish)

The minimum capacity and the quality of the partial steel production is defined by the LV2020 hull production, which, for safety reasons, is fully implemented at Rauma Shipyard. The LV2020 frame is mainly made of thin plates and the precision and quality of the processing of these parts should be increased. These investments will enable the production of the LV2020 hull.
