The aim of the project is to develop industrial processes and promote business opportunities in the forest bioeconomy sector in South Savo. In the project, the expertise of the Fiber Laboratory of Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences in in-line mixing technologies is interdisciplinaryly and future-oriented with the expertise of companies in the region. The project develops, in particular, high-tech fibre processes and related manufacturing, measurement and process technologies. The project is developing;- New in-line mixing techniques, especially in the processing and further processing of gaseous process chemicals, additives and wood fibre.- New and more accurate measurement techniques needed to study the operation of blending processes are needed to improve the management of process phenomena.- The development of the 3D printing technology of metal components by producing such equipment and verifying their functionality in the piloting environment of the Fiber Laboratory, while also utilising new measurement techniques. In-line technology in the manufacturing of new bio-based fibre products is an essential approach to the development of new bio-based fibre products, for example, by manufacturing blending equipment, and by verifying their functionality in the piloting environment of the Fiber Laboratory, while using new measurement techniques. In-line technology in the field of research into new bio-based products, for example, supports the enhancement of products at international level, which can replace oil-based products. The participants in the project are Andritz Oy, StoraEnso Oyj (Consumer Board Imatra), Wetend Technologies Oy, Degremont Technologies AG, Janesko Oy and Ket-Met Oy. (English)

(Finnish)
