The project “2017 — A STI action for remote audiences” aims to propose new approaches to science and technology and to awaken new scientific vocations among young people. In this context, the Maine Sciences association is in charge of participating in various events: exhibitions, animations, workshops, events such as “Explore Mars”, Science Festival, Son Week — Le Mans, LaboraBus: “Atten’s ears!” and to promote technical and industrial scientific professions among school audiences. Centre Generalist, Maine Sciences connects actors in science and culture; those of education, social actors and those in the world of the economy. The emphasis is on an investigative approach where a significant place is left to observation and experimentation. Because of its location in Sablé, at the limit of three departments: La Sarthe, Mayenne and Maine et Loire, and its absence of a place to welcome the public, the association intervenes on a public mainly in rural areas by offering traveling activities in particular.
