Le projet SILEXE a pour objectif de développer un procédé innovant de recyclage des métaux stratégiques à partir de déchets électroniques et ce jusqu’à la mise en place d'un pilote, en ciblant plus particulièrement l’indium, le tantale et les terres rares. Le projet s'inscrit dans un contexte européen et mondial tendu en matière d'approvisionnement en métaux stratégiques associé à la réduction des impacts environnementaux liés aux cycles de vie des déchets électroniques.
