The AADI project aims to improve the care of people with aphasia. Aphasia is a language disorder that results from a brain injury most often linked to head trauma, stroke or degenerative disease such as Alzheimer’s disease. It aims to produce data that can be used by the scientific community specialised in the study of disorders of social interaction and by professionals in charge of aphasic patients. The aim is to make available an automatic tool that allows the evaluation of the pronunciation of the altered speech in order to broaden the range of tools available to the therapists. Located at the crossroads of multidisciplinary research in the social sciences, neurosciences and human sciences, the project brings together three research laboratories: The UMR 5267 Praxiling attached to the University Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 and the CNRS, the Institute of Evolution Sciences (ISEM) UMR5554 (UM), the Interdisciplinary Research Unit (URI) Octogone-Lordat EA 4156 (UT) and a partner company: Archean Technologies, an SME located in Montauban (82000), whose activity is to design and manufacture voice alarm systems for public places (stations, airports, risk sites).
