CORRODYS est implanté au coeur de la zone industrielle à proximité des principaux laboratoires du Cotentin. Il bénéficie d'un hall technologique, au Port des Flamands, avec un accès continu à l'eau de mer.D'ici à 2020, les Energies Marines Renouvelables (EMR) doivent fournir environ 5% de la consommation électrique en Europe. La Basse-Normandie ambitionne d'être l'une des têtes de pont d'une nouvelle filière industrielle nationale, grâce à l'implantation de leaders industriels sur son territoire et à la présence de nombreuses PME, dans le secteur de l'électromécanique qui investiront cette opportunité de développement. Dans l'hydrolien, la proximité du Raz-Blanchard, l'un des tous premiers potentiels mondiaux est un atout pour conforter les savoir-faire de CORRODYS autour de l'interface matériaux/biofilm, fouling.
