Il s'agit de l'agrandissement d'une unité de méthanisation. Le GAEC de Barbezieux possède une unité de méthanisation qui produit de l’électricité depuis le 22/5/2014. La production annuelle est de 1 200 000 kw électrique par an. La chaleur issue de la cogénération chauffe l'eau sanitaire et le chauffage central de 8 maisons d'habitation ainsi que la production d'eau pour l'installation de traite de l'exploitation. Pendant la saison estivale des cases de séchage permettent de sécher la luzerne récoltée sur l'exploitation ainsi que le séchage de copeaux de bois pour la chaufferie collective de la ville de Blâmont.
