La « Hannover Messe » est le plus grand événement technologique mondial consacré à l’industrie. En 2016, ce sont presque 190 000 visiteurs (dont 30% d’internationaux) qui se sont rendus à cette exposition où étaient présents 5 200 exposants dont 58% de provenance étrangère (75 pays représentés). Le pays à l’honneur était les Etats-Unis, avec la venue de Barack Obama. Le thème de l’édition 2017 sera « Integrated Industry – Creating value”. L’objectif principal de Hanovre 2017 sera de démontrer les bénéfices que les industries, les employés ainsi que la société en général peuvent attendre de l’industrie 4.0. Pour l’édition 2017, la Pologne sera le pays à l’honneur. Dans le cadre du plan national « Industrie du futur » de la Nouvelle France Industrielle, Business France est chargé du pilier « Promotion de l’industrie du futur » à l’international au travers du programme « Creative France » et d’un nouveau label « Creative Industrie » dédié à la thématique de l’industrie du futur et plus particulièrement sur les solutions technologiques.
