The project consists of two high schools in Haute-Garonne. _1 — presentation of the problems of the Lycée Toulouse Lautrec_ The Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec is located in the northern districts of Toulouse in a popular area. It is on the outskirts of the city centre but is well served by public transport line B of the Toulouse Metro. It’s a high school of social diversity. As far as pupils are concerned, there is a chronic lack of ambition on the part of some of them to connect with the socio-professional categories of parents: 25 % of disadvantaged socio-professional categories compared to 16, 3 % for the department and also to be compared with the low level of our second-entry students (still declining this year). 11 average for the colleges for written examinations compared to 12 for the North Basin and 12.5 for the academy. In addition, 9.5 % of students enter second school, with at least 1 year late, compared with 7.2 % for the department.3 % of our students belong to the city’s political quarters compared to 1.5 % for the academy. The high school offers all the general series: L, ES and S as well as a STMG series to which two BTS must be added: BTS MUC (Management of Commercial Units) quite common and a more prestigious BTS: the BTS Notariat. Measures to combat early school leaving in-house are numerous and strongly mobilise the school community. Personalised support in second helps us very much in this priority. In fact, each senior second teacher agrees to intervene for two hours a week in his/her service as part of the Personalised Accompanyment. In addition, tutoring by teachers is also active and allows to follow up to 30 students. In addition, work within the framework of success lines with INSA (National Institute of Applied Sciences), SAAE (Institut Supérieure de l’Aérospatial et de l’Espace) and TBS (Toulouse Business School) allows to support 88 students in terms of academic ambition. It was also initiated this year a partnership with AFEV (Association de la Fondation Etudiante pour la Ville) in order to offer school support to students most in difficulty. The high school also entered the DRIVE device this year, which is proposed by Airbus engineers to 20 second students and which aims to develop with them transversal skills of the order of self-confidence. In order to meet the growing need for strengthening in French, the two documentalist teachers have been taking care of some students in significant difficulty since last year. _2 — presentation of the problems of the Galliéni High School_ The results of the 2016 exams show an overall failure rate of 31 % on the final classes to access diplomas. These already worrying results are accompanied by high dropout rates with 11 % dropouts in the incoming classes in 2015-16 and 12 % on average in previous years. In total, over all divisions, about 50 pupils are involved. The activities carried out around the issue of stalling are of two kinds. On the one hand, various and targeted actions are put in place by educators from an association to bring the dropouts back to the institution. On the other hand, a tutoring is organised by division with the students identified. A tutor supports two students. A contract is drawn up. Regular meetings are planned. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(French)

It is on the outskirts of the city centre but is well served by public transport line B of the Toulouse Metro. It’s a high school of social diversity. As far as pupils are concerned, there is a chronic lack of ambition on the part of some of them to connect with the socio-professional categories of parents: 25 % of disadvantaged socio-professional categories compared to 16, 3 % for the department and also to be compared with the low level of our second-entry students (still declining this year). 11 average for the colleges for written examinations compared to 12 for the North Basin and 12.5 for the academy.
