EL OBJETIVO DEL PROYECTO ES EL DESARROLLO DE MATERIALES CON MEJORES PROPIEDADES QUE PERMITAN LA OPTIMIZACIÓN DE RECURSOS EN UN SECTOR CON UN ELEVADO CONSUMO Y SIN POSIBILIDAD DE REUTILIZACIÓN DIRECTA COMO ES EL SECTOR DE ENVASE. PARA ELLO SE HA CONSIDERADO EL DESARROLLO DE MATERIALES EMPLEANDO LA NANOTECNOLOGÍA PARA MODIFICAR E INCREMENTAR LAS PROPIEDADES INICIALES DE DOS MATERIALES CON DIFERENTES CARACTERÍSTICAS, PLA Y PET. EL EMPLEO DE PET MODIFICADO CON ARCILLAS PERMITIRÁ DISMINUIR EL CONSUMO DE MATERIAL POR UNIDAD DE ENVASE, MIENTRAS QUE LA MEJORA DE PROPIEDADES DEL PLA OFRECERÁ UNA SOLUCIÓN COMPOSTABLE EN APLICACIONES DE ENVASE CON MENORES REQUERIMIENTOS BARRERA. THE AIM OF THE PROJECT IS THE DEVELOPMENT OF MATERIALS WITH IMPROVED PROPERTIES THAT ALLOW RESOURCE OPTIMIZATION IN A SECTOR WITH HIGH CONSUMPTION WITHOUT POSSIBILITY OF DIRECT REUSE AS PACKAGING SECTOR. FOR THIS WE HAVE CONSIDERED THE DEVELOPMENT OF MATERIALS USING NANOTECHNOLOGY TO MODIFY AND INCREASE THE INITIAL PROPERTIES OF TWO MATERIALS WITH DIFFERENT CHARACTERISTICS, PLA AND PET. THE USE OF CLAYS MODIFIED PET WILL REDUCE MATERIAL CONSUMPTION PER UNIT OF PACKAGING, WHILE IMPROVING PROPERTIES OF PLA OFFER A SOLUTION COMPOSTABLE PACKAGING APPLICATIONS WITH LOWER BARRIER REQUIREMENTS.
