Cilj projekta je zgraditi kolesarsko povezavo Kamnik – Mengeš – Trzin – Ljubljana z navezavo na javni potniški promet in s tem zagotoviti kolesarsko povezanost najgosteje poseljenega dela regije (občine Trzin, Mengeš in Kamnik) in največjega migracijskega centra (Ljubljana). Glavni namen projekta je zagotavljanje trajnostne mobilnosti za dnevni dostop prebivalcev na delovno mesto in mesto šolanja v občinah Kamnik, Mengeš, Trzin in Ljubljana. Projekt zagotavlja večjo prometno varnost kolesarjev, zmanjšuje negativne vplive motornega prometa na okolje, vzpodbuja trajnostno mobilnost in uporabo koles za vsakodnevna opravila, kot alternativo avtomobilskim prevozom. The aim of the project is to build the Kamnik — Mengeš — Trzin-Ljubljana cycling link with public passenger transport, thus ensuring the cycling connection of the most densely populated part of the region (municipalities of Trzin, Mengeš and Kamnik) and the largest migration centre (Ljubljana). The main purpose of the project is to ensure sustainable mobility for daily access of residents to the workplace and schooling place in the municipalities of Kamnik, Mengeš, Trzin and Ljubljana. The project ensures greater transport safety for cyclists, reduces the negative environmental impacts of motor transport, promotes sustainable mobility and the use of bicycles for everyday tasks, as an alternative to car transport.
