The perception presents several characteristics that give it a species status with high interest for aquaculture (e.g.: Very high price, very dangerous picking activity and conditioned by the state of the sea resource state with negative trend). However, there are no known cases of success in aquaculture with this species. In AQUAPOLLIS+ three alternative cultivation systems will be tested from a biological and economic point of view.
