Strokovni center bo prispeval v največjo korist otroka oziroma mladostnika s celostno obravnavo in s spremljanjem razvoja otroka/mladostnika ter nudenja podpore in edukacije okolja, s ciljem doseganja optimalnega razvoja otroka in zmanjševanja neenakosti v zdravju in priprave inkluzivnega okolja. V ta namen bodo deležni podpore in pomoči ob otroku/mladostniku s posebnimi potrebami tudi družina, strokovni delavci, ki delajo z otrokom/mladostnikom in širše okolje. Podpora družini bo obsegala pomoč pri iskanju in zagotavljanju ustreznih informacij in opolnomočenje družine z vodenjem, znanjem, pristopi in rokovanjem (handling) z otokom/mladostnikom s posebnimi potrebami, mediacijo in delom s sovrstniki. Koordiniran bo program tutorstva na šoli, v katerem bodo otroci in mladostniki s posebnimi potrebami tutorji drugim otrokomi na svojih močnih področjih in tako ne bodo več zgolj prejemniki pomoči. The Competence Centre will contribute to the best interests of the child or adolescent by comprehensively addressing and monitoring the development of the child/adolescent and providing support and education of the environment, with the aim of achieving optimal development of the child and reducing inequalities in health and preparation of an inclusive environment. To this end, the family, professionals working with the child/adolescent and the wider environment will also receive support and assistance with a child/adolescent with special needs. Family support will include assistance in finding and providing relevant information and empowering the family through leadership, knowledge, approaches and handling (handling) with an island/adolescent with special needs, mediation and peer-to-peer work. A tutoring programme at the school will be coordinated, in which children and adolescents with special needs will be tutored to other children in their strong areas and thus will no longer be just recipients of assistance.
