El presente proyecto se enmarca en el ámbito de las técnicas de producción de cigüeñales de automoción por forja en caliente y, más concretamente, en las herramientas para su conformado en prensa máxima. Para CIE GALFOR, con una producción propia de cigüeñales de 4,5 millones de unidades en el pasado ejercicio 2018, la capacidad de prolongar la vida en servicio de sus utillajes se establece como un factor de total relevancia para continuar ampliando su competitividad._x000D_ _x000D_ Con ello, el Objetivo General del proyecto es incrementar la vida media de los utillajes de fabricación de cigüeñales en un 20%, pasando de las 15.000 piezas actualmente estampadas a 18.000, a partir del empleo de aceros de herramienta para trabajo en caliente comerciales de última generación y de la definición específica para cada uno de ellos de tratamientos convencionales optimizados, térmicos másicos de temple y revenido y termoquímicos superficiales de nitrocarburación._x000D_ _x000D_ Una vez alcanzados procesos estables de estampación en sus prensas máximas a partir de la mejora continua desarrollada en los últimos años, lo que ha llevado a tiempos de ciclo de 16 segundos, CIE GALFOR aborda ahora una profunda investigación en términos científicos y operativos sobre los 2 factores principales para la mejora de la durabilidad de sus matrices de forja de cigüeñales, estando ambos plenamente relacionados entre sí:_x000D_ _x000D_ - El acero empleado como materia prima, cuya calidad en estado de recepción y aptitudes para la configuración de las matrices son dependientes de la tipología de su proceso de fabricación, su composición química y sus características microestructurales_x000D_ - Los tratamientos térmicos másicos y termoquímicos superficiales a aplicar sobre el material para definir su microestructura interna y superficial final, las cuales determinarán las propiedades de la herramienta y sus condiciones de operación durante su vida en servicio (Spanish)
