SISCLOUD aims to develop a unified monitoring and analysis tool that allows remote monitoring of renewable energy sources. SISCLOUD will be designed and developed based on independent modular components built on cloud technologies facilitating integration with third parties ensuring flexibility and adaptability. _x000D_ The inclusion of information technologies within the industrial world involves the development and application of new functionalities at various levels. On the one hand, it is necessary to work on the physical data link and network layers as it is done through traditional automation management systems (PLC, SCADA, MES, ERP and PLM). Thus, sufficient local intelligence must be provided to field devices to be able to acquire the information involved in an industrial process by carrying out the pre-processing that is necessary for mass dispatch to distributed computing systems. On the other hand, these cloud computing systems must be able to implement the logic necessary to process this data and act accordingly by offering both visualisation aspects and aspects related to alarm detection or automatic action. Within the new paradigm I4.0 and according to the World Economic Forum renewable energy sources are considered as one of the sources of information with the greatest potential for improving their productivity through the implementation of I4.0 technologies.
