MANUMEMS persigue la optimización y automatización del proceso completo de producción de sistemas Bio-MEMS( Sistemas Microelectromecanicos Biológicos), incluyendo la evaluación y la selección de los materiales con los que son producidos, los pasos críticos del diseño y la cadena de producción (fotolitografía, deposición, grabado, corte, ...), así como el desarrollo de accesorios (encapsulado, electrónica, etc... ) necesarios para la fabricación sistemas Lab-on-a-Chip o microsistemas de análisis total (Biosensores, quimiosensores), productos en los que Micrux tiene experiencia._x000D_ Se trata de un proyecto de alto componente multidisciplinar al combinar ciencia de los materiales, ciencias clínicas, ingeniería eléctrica, ingeniería mecánica, ingeniería óptica, ingeniería química e ingeniería biomédica, que se lleva a cabo en cooperación internacional.
