Los diferentes barrios de la ciudad cuentan, actualmente, con Centros Socioculturales como espacio de participación ciudadana donde se realizan las distintas actividades sociales y culturales, constituyendo las sedes de las asociaciones de vecinos, mayores, jóvenes, mujeres etc. En la mayoría de ellos, se prestan de manera descentralizada determinados servicios públicos, como son Servicios Sociales, Servicio de Biblioteca, y Universidad Popular._x000D_ Para ello, se pretende la construcción de un Centro de Participación Ciudadana, ubicado en el solar de titularidad municipal, como parte del edificio dotacional que se pretende construir en el mismo, el cual albergará también los siguientes espacios de carácter público:_x000D_ • Centro de Promoción de la Autonomía Personal y Prevención de la Dependencia, con el objeto de hacer frente a las carencias de superficie que sufre el actual centro, ubicado en la calle Batalla del Salado, nº 9. _x000D_ • Centro de Personas Mayores.
