Notwithstanding the above, there is the possibility of adding a “mineral additive” capable of improving the conservation of the forage, and that once transformed into the final product has favorable consequences for nutrition itself, by increasing the development and activity of the ruminal microbiota._x000D_ What this project aims to design is to design a mineral additive capable of improving the conservation of the forage and, at the same time, to provide the necessary nutrients to promote the maximum development and activity of the ruminal microbiota. _x000D_ _x000D_ for this purpose we will focus on:_x000D_ • Design an additive containing the nutrients needed to maximise the number of beneficial microorganisms in rumen. Thus, these degrade the fiber, increasing digestibility and digestive transit, while increasing the protein value provided by the microorganisms themselves. _x000D_ • increase the energy obtained by the ruminant by increasing digestibility and consumption._x000D_ _x000D_ The new additive to be developed may be used both in silage and hay, should be economical and easy to apply, and should be able to act as a preservative and enhancer of digestive and protein values in silages, henolajes and vegetable by-products._x000D_ _x000D_ At the end of the development of the project, we want to bring to the market a product capable of competing with the additives of the silages, with the sulfur inputs in rations and with the inputs of non-protein nitrogen. El ensilado es un proceso de conservación basado en una fermentación anaeróbica de carbohidratos presentes en forrajes, residuos de cosecha o subproductos agrícolas e industriales. Los ácidos orgánicos que se producen en el proceso, favorecen la disminución del pH por debajo de 5, permitiendo mantener las cualidades nutritivas del producto original, e inhibir además el crecimiento de microorganismos. No obstante lo anterior, existe la posibilidad de agregar un “aditivo mineral” capaz de mejorar la conservación del forraje, y que una vez transformado en el producto final tenga consecuencias favorables en la propia nutrición, al incrementar el desarrollo y la actividad de la microbiota ruminal._x000D_ Lo que se pretende con el presente proyecto es diseñar un aditivo mineral capaz de mejorar la conservación del forraje y, al mismo tiempo, aportar los nutrientes necesarios para favorecer el máximo desarrollo y actividad de la microbiota ruminal. _x000D_ _x000D_ Para ello nos centraremos en:_x000D_ • Diseñar un aditivo que contenga los nutrientes necesarios para incrementar al máximo el número de microorganismos beneficiosos del rumen. Para que así, estos degraden la fibra, incrementando la digestibilidad y el tránsito digestivo, al mismo tiempo que se incrementa el valor proteico aportado por los propios microorganismos. _x000D_ • Incrementar la energía obtenida por el rumiante, al incrementar la digestibilidad y el consumo._x000D_ _x000D_ El nuevo aditivo a desarrollar se podrá utilizar tanto en el ensilado como en el heno, debe ser económico y de fácil aplicación, y debe ser capaz actuar como conservante y mejorador de los valores digestivos y proteicos en los ensilados, henolajes y subproductos vegetales._x000D_ _x000D_ Al final del desarrollo del proyecto se quiere conseguir sacar al mercado un producto capaz de competir con los aditivos de los ensilados, con los aportes de azufre en raciones y con los aportes de nitrógeno no proteico.
