Se solicita actualización de un espectrómetro RMN-500MHz y sustitución de un espectrómetro RMN-250MHz por un RMN-400MHz en el Servei de RMN de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Los dos espectrómetros han funcionado con una productividad inmejorable durante muchos años, dando servicio a un gran número de grupos de investigación, tanto de la propia universidad como de institutos de investigación del propio campus-UAB así como otras instituciones públicas y privadas. Dichos aparatos presentan un elevadísimo grado de obsolescencia tanto en términos de hardware como de software, e incluso ya fueron declarados como descatalogados por el propio fabricante en el año 2016. Estas condiciones sitúan su operatividad en una situación muy crítica debido al aumento progresivo de incidencias/averías, la no disponibilidad de piezas de sustitución y la imposibilidad de poder realizar experimentos de RMN modernos._x000D_ La modernización de la parte electrónica en RMN-500 y la sustitución de RMN-250 permitirá ofertar nuevas aplicaciones, nuevos experimentos y nuevas herramientas de adquisición/procesado de datos que están actualmente limitadas o imposibilitadas tanto por la antigüedad del hardware como por la ausencia e incompatibilidad de secuencias de pulsos de RMN modernas. La nueva configuración permitiría el registro de múltiples muestras, hecho que mejorará la productividad, amortización y eficiencia de estos equipamientos de RMN, y compensará los altos costes de mantenimiento. An update of an NMR-500MHz spectrometer and substitution of an NMR-250MHz spectrometer by an NMR-400MHz in the NMR Service of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is requested. The two spectrometers have worked with unbeatable productivity for many years, serving a large number of research groups, both the university itself and research institutes of the campus-UAB as well as other public and private institutions. These devices present a very high degree of obsolescence both in terms of hardware and software and were already declared by the manufacturer as discontinued itself in 2016. These conditions place their operation in a very critical situation due to the progressive increase in incidents/breakdowns, the unavailability of replacement parts and the impossibility of performing modern NMR experiments._x000D_ The modernization of the electronic part in NMR-500 and the replacement of NMR-250 will allow offering new applications, new experiments and new data acquisition/processing tools that are currently limited or impossible due to both the age of the hardware and the absence or incompatibility of modern NMR pulse sequences. The new configuration would allow the registration of multiple samples, a fact that will improve the productivity, amortization and efficiency of these NMR equipments, and will compensate for the high maintenance costs.
