Specifically, during the execution of this project, it is a question of investigating in a novel methodology of hydrogen peroxide analysis as an indicator of the evolution of patients after suffering a stroke, since it has been described in the literature that both the activity of the catalase enzyme (H2O2-dependent biomarker) and the activity of the glutathione peroxidase enzyme (GPx- uses H2O2 as a cofactor) are greater in ischemic patients, compared to healthy individuals. In addition, Catalase can be considered as a marker of the positive evolution of patients after suffering a stroke. (English)
