Projekt stojí na třech pilířích: 1.praktická a teoretická podpora managementu biotopů nad hranicí lesa v souvislosti s klesající druhovou rozmanitostí alpínských trávníků, 2.vnášení chybějících dřevin, do lesních ekosystémů především 7. a 8. lesního vegetačního stupně a jejich ochrana a sběr podkladů potřebných pro plánování péče o lesní ekosystémy, 3.zajištění monitoringu přírodního prostředí a komunikace s návštěvníky v turisticky exponované a přírodovědecky nejcennější části CHKO Jeseníky.
