Obiectivul general al proiectului vizează completarea infrastructurii existente în domeniul deșeurilor, cu investiții care vor conduce la realizarea, în județul Prahova, a unui sistem integrat de management al acestora, prin care se vor atinge standardele minime de conformare cu cerințele legislative în sectorul de mediu ale UE, precum și îndeplinirea angajamentelor pe care România și le-a asumat prin Tratatul de aderare. De asemenea se urmărește: - Creșterea standardelor de viață și de mediu din județul Prahova, vizând, în principal, respectarea acquis-ului comunitar de mediu. - Dezvoltarea unui sistem durabil de management al deșeurilor în județul Prahova, prin îmbunătățirea managementului deșeurilor și reducerea numărului de zone poluate din județ. The general objective of the project is to complete the existing infrastructure in the field of waste, with investments that will lead to the realisation, in Prahova County, of an integrated management system, which will achieve the minimum standards of compliance with the legislative requirements of the EU environmental sector, as well as the fulfilment of the commitments Romania has made under the Accession Treaty. The aim is also to: — Increasing living and environmental standards in Prahova County, mainly aiming to comply with the environmental acquis communautaire. — Developing a sustainable waste management system in Prahova County, by improving waste management and reducing the number of polluted areas in the county.
