General objective of the project: Increasing the level of skills and adaptability regarding the use of new technologies in the health system in Romania to meet the new priorities of health policies and programs, by promoting and providing continuous medical education to 800 professionals in the medical system. The project activities have a major and long-term impact on the target group of the project and implicitly on the Romanian medical system aiming at improving the quality of medical services and adapting them to the needs of beneficiaries through:- organising and conducting 8 information and awareness campaigns on the prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer, at national level, addressed to the medical staff involved in the implementation of priority health programs and actions;- Specific professional training of 800 specialists and family doctors involved in the provision of medical services, in the field of colorectal cancer; — Facilitating the participation of the target group in the exchange of experience and good practices by providing free access to national and international medical congresses and by organising and conducting annual medical conferences and workshops in health management. Thus, through its activities, the project contributes to the achievement of the specific objective of the program (4.8), by improving the level of competencies of the 800 medical professionals registered in the target group of the project. By organising and conducting, at national level, information and awareness campaigns, the project will contribute to the training and training of the medical staff (involved in the implementation of priority health programs and actions) by presenting the optimal methods of prevention and diagnosis of colorectal cancer among patients, generating a long-term positive effect reflected in improving the communication and interaction of medical personnel with potential patients, as well as in increasing the level of involvement of medical staff in the prevention of this type of major non-communicable disease. Effective communication will lead to satisfied patients and a truly patient-centred healthcare system. Thus, campaigns also aim to train health professionals involved in the provision of prevention and early diagnosis services, responsible for most cases of morbidity and mortality in adults, as the quality of health care is currently sub-optimal, including the need to improve the technical and methodological framework. By organising and conducting free 382 theoretical training sessions and medical practice, accredited courses with EMC points, for the 800 specialists and family doctors from the target group of the project, the project contributes to facilitating the access of the medical staff to the project.
