The project concerns the construction and operation of a solid waste treatment plant (composting plant) with a capacity of 6,000 tonnes per year of pre-sorted organic and green waste and b) a residual landfill site (HYTY) of Fokida Prefecture, with an annual capacity of an average of 20 000 tn/year and a total capacity of 362.487 m³ of non-hazardous solid waste. The construction of the HYTY achieves the safe disposal of municipal solid waste for the entire Prefecture. The construction of the composting plant contributes to the integrated management of urban solid waste (SWW) on the basis of the principles and targets set out in Law 4042/12 on waste, while it contributes significantly to the reduction of the volume of MSWs that are to be buried and to the achievement of the target of diverting the biodegradable fraction of MSW from burial (65 % w/w for 2020). Το έργο αφορά στην κατασκευή και λειτουργία α) Μονάδας Επεξεργασίας Στερεών Αποβλήτων (εργοστάσιο κομποστοποίησης) δυναμικότητας 6.000 τν ετησίως προδιαλεγμένων οργανικών και πράσινων αποβλήτων και β) Χώρου Υγειονομικής Ταφής Υπολειμμάτων (ΧΥΤΥ) Νομού Φωκίδας, ετήσιας δυναμικότητας κατά μέσο όρο 20.000 tn/έτος και συνολικής δυναμικότητας 362.487 μ3 μη επικίνδυνων στερεών αποβλήτων.Με την κατασκευή του ΧΥΤΥ επιτυγχάνεται η ασφαλής διάθεση των αστικών στερεών αποβλήτων για το σύνολο του Νομού. Η κατασκευή της Μονάδας κομποστοποίησης συμβάλλει στην ολοκληρωμένη διαχείριση των Αστικών Στερεών Αποβλήτων (ΑΣΑ) βάσει των αρχών και των στόχων που τίθενται στον Ν. 4042/12 για τα απόβλητα, ενώ συνεισφέρει σημαντικά στη μείωση του όγκου των ΑΣΑ που οδηγούνται προς ταφή, αλλά και στην επίτευξη του στόχου εκτροπής του βιοαποδομήσιμου κλάσματος των ΑΣΑ από την ταφή (65% κ.β. για το έτος 2020). Η προμήθεια κάδων για την διαλογή στην πηγή και η προμήθεια βιοδιασπούμενων σάκων αποτελεί απαραίτητη προϋπόθεση για την λειτουργία της Μονάδας Κομποστοποίησης. (Greek)
