The aim of the project is to improve the educational process for pupils with health disabilities at the elementary school with Anton Matula kindergarten in Sebechleby, thereby increasing inclusiveness and equal access to quality education and improving the results and competences of these pupils. The means to achieve this is the employment of two teachers’ assistants, as is apparent from the reports and specific recommendations drawn up by the Pedagogical-Pychological Guidance and Prevention Centres and the special pedagogical counselling centres in Levice and Zvolen. The teacher’s assistant will be personally present in the classroom with the pupil, working with the teacher in the classroom and teaching staff of the school, thus facilitating the adaptation of the pupil in the educational process. In connection with his disability, the job of an assistant teacher will be to assist the pupil in overcoming barriers, to participate adequately in the educational process in accordance with the instructions of the teacher. The project implementation time, i.e. 36 months, is corresponding to three school years and is adequate to improve the quality of life of these pupils with disabilities. Two assistants will sufficiently cover special needs, thereby contributing to promoting equal access to quality education, in particular in relation to promoting school success and developing the competences of these pupils in accordance with the principles of inclusive education. Asistent učiteľa bude osobne prítomný v triede so žiakom, bude spolupracovať s učiteľom v triede a pedagogickými zamestnancami školy čím uľahčí adaptáciu žiaka vo vzdelávacom procese. Dvaja asistenti dostatočne pokryjú špeciálne potreby, čím sa prispeje k podpore rovnakého prístupu ku kvalitnému vzdelávaniu, predovšetkým vo vzťahu k podpore školskej úspešnosti a rozvoju kompetencií týchto žiakov v súlade s princípmi inkluzívneho vzdelávania.
