The aim of the project “Centre for the further training of scientists (Leader)” is to increase young people’s interest in natural and technical sciences and to develop their key competences for better labour market uptake. The primary target group of the project is young people under the age of 25, namely primary school pupils and eight-year-old grammar schools and secondary adults – volunteers (especially educators). The project consists of two main activities, where the first is aimed at upgrading the qualifications of volunteers and teaching staff through courses and the second, a follow-up activity, aimed at developing young people’s key competences through non-formal learning. Other activities in the form of sub-activities of the project, such as preparation and issuance of methodological manuals, organisation of scientific competitions, ensuring participation in scientific competitions, preparation of accreditation or preparation of expert analysis are associated with the implementation of the activities. The project will enable young people to acquire the skills to use the acquired knowledge from formal education, to work more efficiently with the technologies available, to develop work in groups and to speak out autonomously and confidently and to present their own conclusions. Young people will be professionally and methodologically guided to the preparation of their own projects in the field of technical and natural sciences with the possibility to participate in the scientific competition. Training under the supervision of professional and specialised staff will teach young people a selected topic to explore, seek and collect information, create scientific experiments, think critically, process the data collected and demonstrate it at a scientific competition. The measurable project indicators, declaring the number of trained educators and the number of young people participating in non-formal education, are set to: 105 educators and 7995 young people. Successful implementation of the project will create conditions for increasing the participation of pedagogical staff in lifelong learning through a newly-accredited training programme, while at the same time improving the labour market uptake of young people through the use of acquired competences. Cieľ projektu „Centrum ďalšieho vzdelávania vedátorov (Vedátor)“ je zvýšenie záujmu mladých ľudí o prírodné a technické vedy a rozvoj ich kľúčových kompetencií pre lepšie uplatnenie na trhu práce. Primárnou cieľovou skupinou projektu sú mladí ľudia vo veku do 25 rokov, konkrétne žiaci základných škôl a osemročných gymnázií a sekundárnou dospelí – dobrovoľníci (predovšetkým pedagógovia). Projekt umožní mladým ľuďom získať schopnosti využívať nadobudnuté poznatky z formálneho vzdelávania, efektívnejšie pracovať s dostupnými technológiami, rozvíjať prácu v skupinách i autonómne a sebavedomo vystupovať a prezentovať vlastné závery. Mladí ľudia budú odborne a metodicky vedení k príprave vlastných projektov v oblasti technických a prírodných vied s možnosťou účasti na vedeckej súťaži. Vzdelávanie pod dohľadom odborného a špecializovaného personálu naučí mladých ľudí vybranú tému skúmať, hľadať a zbierať informácie, tvoriť vedecké pokusy, kriticky myslieť, spracovávať získané dáta a predviesť ich na vedeckej súťaži. Merateľné ukazovatele projektu, deklarujúce počet vyškolených pedagógov a počet mladých ľudí zúčastnených na neformálnom vzdelávaní, sú v záujme vysokej dostupnosti vzdelávania nastavené na: 105 pedagógov a 7995 mladých ľudí. Úspešná realizácia projektu vytvorí podmienky na zvýšenie účasti pedagogických zamestnancov na celoživotnom vzdelávaní prostredníctvom novovakreditovaného vzdelávacieho programu a zároveň umožní zlepšenie uplatnenia mladých ľudí na trhu práce využívaním nadobudnutých kompetencií.
