The project addresses the establishment of an early warning system for the population of emergencies caused by climate change, which will also allow for a rapid exchange of information between the regional and central levels and subsequent risk assessment and preparation for the management of these events. By its nature, the project fulfils the main specific objective for the challenge, which is to increase the level of preparedness for the management of climate-affected emergencies. The Early Warning System will enable the alert elements of electronic sirens to be activated at three levels – local, regional and central. This will make it possible to warn 80 % of the inhabitants of the Slovak Republic (SR) in a permanent built-up area in good time. The location of the implementation will be 465 towns and villages in the whole of the Slovak Republic, in which 620 electronic sirens will be located. These sites have been determined on the basis of both the population and the increased occurrence of emergencies caused by climate change in collaboration with the district authorities. The coverage area of the area provided by the Early Warning System will be 66037 ha.All these electronic sirens will be part of a comprehensive early warning system.Total measurable indicators will be as follows:1. Area of coverage of the inhabited area provided by the Early Warning System – 66 037 ha2. Area covered by the area covered by the Early Warning System – 66 037 ha3. Number of entities involved in the project – 14. Number of data transmission systems between local and/or regional and/or national and/or transnational levels – 15. Number of early warning systems – 16. Number of risk assessment systems linked to climate change and its consequences – 1 Project details are specified in Annex A – Technical specification of the project and in electronic Annex D – Detailed calculations. Projekt rieši vybudovanie systému včasného varovania obyvateľstva pred mimoriadnymi udalosťami spôsobenými zmenou klímy, ktorý zároveň umožní rýchlu výmenu informácií medzi regionálnou a centrálnou úrovňou a následné vyhodnotenie rizika a prípravu na zvládnutie týchto udalostí. Svojim charakterom projekt napĺňa hlavný špecifický cieľ určený pre danú výzvu, ktorým je zvýšenie úrovne pripravenosti na zvládanie mimoriadnych udalostí ovplyvnených zmenou klímy.Systém včasného varovania umožní aktivovať prvky varovania, ktorými sú elektronické sirény, na troch úrovniach – miestnej, regionálnej a centrálnej. Vďaka tomu bude možné včas varovať 80% obyvateľov Slovenskej republiky (SR) na trvale obývanom zastavanom území.Miestom realizácie bude 465 miest a obcí na území celej SR, v ktorých bude umiestnených 620 elektronických sirén. Tieto lokality boli stanovené na základe počtu obyvateľov a zároveň zvýšeného výskytu mimoriadnych udalostí spôsobených zmenou klímy v súčinnosti s okresnými úradmi. Plocha pokrytia územia zabezpečeného systémom včasného varovania bude 66 037 ha.Všetky tieto elektronické sirény budú súčasťou komplexného systému včasného varovania.Celkové merateľné ukazovatele budú nasledovné:1. Plocha pokrytia obývaného územia zabezpečeného systémom včasného varovania - 66 037 ha2. Plocha pokrytia územia zabezpečeného systémom včasného varovania - 66 037 ha3. Počet subjektov zapojených do projektu - 14.
