The Secondary School of Gastronomy and Hotel Services, Farský 9 had two objects. Currently, the theoretical and practical training of pupils in related disciplines is taking place in Farský 9, which is limited by space and availability. Na Pantoch 20 mainly takes place theoretical and practical training of pupils in the main group 29 – Food, which, however, is materially and technically limited. Due to the development requirements of the VET Centre, an object on Harmincova 1 was included in the property of the school, but it was structurally and technically unsatisfactory, but offered the potential for further growth in practical training of pupils. Due to the high investment intensity, the Secondary Technical School of Gastronomy and Hotel Services, Farský 9 was not able to equip the new premises, resulting in insufficient preparation of pupils in practical teaching with an impact on the labour market. The aim of the project “Reconstruction and investment support of COVP Farský 9” (hereinafter referred to as “the project”) is to increase the number of pupils in vocational secondary schools in practical teaching under Priority Axis No.2: Easier access to more efficient and better quality public services. The defined objective is to be achieved through the implementation of the main activity no. 1: Reconstruction and modernisation of Harmincova 1, main activity No. 2: Modernisation of the material and technical equipment of the Harmincova 1 and main activity No. 3: Increase the energy efficiency of Harmincova 1. After completion of the project and implementation of all planned activities, the Centre for Vocational Education and Training Farský 9 (hereinafter referred to as “COVP”) supported in the field of food 2855.34 m² of floor area of renovated public buildings, renovated 1 public building, supported by 1 vocational education and training centre, thus supporting the school infrastructure for 424 pupils attending the fields covered by the project of secondary vocational school. The target group, which will benefit from the implementation of the project, are pupils, participants in further education and educators. Given the demographic development of the population, the increase in the attractiveness of vocational training through the project and the positive development of the labour market, we expect the result to be increased by 10 % by 2025 in the number of pupils undergoing vocational training in support infrastructure. Through its solutions and activities through which vocational education and training, further education and educators develop, the project simulates working conditions similar in the business environment and creates improvements in spatial, material and technical equipment and conditions for vocational education and training, which will enable more COVP pupils to undertake experience in an environment comparable to the private sector, with the possibility of subsequent involvement of pupils in teaching directly with the employer. The focus has also been on providing lifelong learning within the meaning of Act No. 568/2009 on Lifelong Learning and on Amendments and Supplements to certain Acts since the beginning of the project preparation, which is adapted to building objects in terms of disposition. Through building modifications, reconstructing the external and indoor areas of the COVP complex, the specialised workplaces from several school buildings will be concentrated into one Harmincova 1 building, thus contributing to improving the quality of education conditions, improving the safety of pupils and promoting inclusion by providing barrier-free access and not least increasing energy efficiency. Stredná odborná škola gastronómie a hotelových služieb, Farského 9 disponovala dvoma objektami. Zadefinovaný cieľ má byť dosiahnutý prostredníctvom realizácie hlavnej aktivity č. 1: Rekonštrukcia a modernizácia objektu Harmincova 1, hlavnej aktivity č. 2: Modernizácia materiálno-technického vybavenia odborných pracovísk objektu Harmincova 1 a hlavnej aktivity č. 3: Zvýšenie energetickej efektívnosti objektu Harmincova 1.
