The aim of the DOKLIP project is to increase the readiness of Slovak cities for the development and implementation of urban public climate policies aimed at systematically reducing the negative effects of climate change on health, the economy and the natural environment. The project addresses the whole territory of the Slovak Republic with the main activity Creation of IGCs, optimisation of frameworks, processes and implementation of better systems for their implementation, filled with 6 blocks of sub-activity: 1. Analysis of the national framework for the creation and implementation of IGCs; 2. Analysis of the current situation in the larger cities of the Slovak Republic; 3. Sociological survey of awareness, knowledge, needs and attitudes towards and response to climate change in 4 target groups (public; municipal executives; elected representatives; central and local government staff); 4. Foreign/EU experience as inspiration for cities in Slovakia; 5. Proposing solutions to improve the situation; 6. Communication and dissemination. The project will: create 4 conceptual and methodological materials, process 7 analytical materials, implement 13 information activities, analyse 9 legislative standards, prepare 6 proposals for legislative changes, create 1 expert platform to improve the quality of public administration and propose 20 measures to make IGCs more effective.     Cieľom projektu DOKLIP je zvýšiť pripravenosť miest SR pre tvorbu a implementáciu mestských verejných klimatických politík (MVKP) zamierených na systematické znižovanie negatívnych dôsledkov zmeny klímy na zdravie, ekonomiku sociálnu situáciu a prírodné prostredie. Projekt adresuje celé územie SR s hlavnou aktivitou Tvorba MVKP, optimalizácia rámcov, procesov a zavádzanie kvalitnejších systémov pre ich implementáciu, napĺňanou 6 blokmi čiastkových aktivít: 1. Analýza národného rámca pre tvorbu a implementáciu MVKP; 2. Analýza súčasného stavu u väčších miest SR; 3. Sociologický prieskum uvedomenia, vedomostí,  potrieb a postojov k zmene klímy a spôsoboch reagovania na ňu v 4 cieľových skupinách (verejnosť; výkonní pracovníci samospráv; volení zástupcovia; pracovníci ústrednej a miestnej štátnej správy); 4. Zahraničné/EÚ skúsenosti ako inšpirácia pre mestá v SR; 5. Návrh riešení na zlepšenie situácie; 6. Komunikácia a diseminácia. V rámci projektu sa: vytvoria 4 koncepčné a metodické materiály, spracuje 7 analytických materiálov, zrealizuje 13 informačných aktivít, zanalyzuje 9 legislatívnych noriem, vypracuje 6 návrhov na legislatívne zmeny, vytvorí 1 odborná platforma na zvyšovanie kvality verejnej správy a navrhne 20 opatrení na zefektívnenie MVKP.
