The aim of the project is to identify transport needs in an integrated way with a view to ensuring sustainable mobility through the development of a transport strategy paper, namely the development of a Sustainable Mobility Plan (PUM), a PUM implementation and monitoring plan and an update of the Transport Service Plan (PDO) KSK. The objective of the project is in line with specific objective 1.2.1 to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of public passenger transport under investment priority 1.2. The implementation of the project will update the forward-looking transport characteristics, parameters and services of the Košice region with their projection into a real transport solution design, which will take into account the possibilities of the region’s financial resources, including EU funds. By drawing up the strategic document, the PDO will also be updated according to changes in transport demand and taking into account the documents from the surveys carried out for the processing of the work, defined scope of public interest, established forecasts in the development of public transport and identified main objectives in the field of public transport, at the same time it will determine transport and operating documents and evaluation criteria for competition for the operation of the territory by regular bus transport with a view to building an integrated transport system. Cieľom projektu je identifikovať potreby dopravy integrovaným spôsobom s úmyslom zabezpečiť udržateľnú mobilitu prostredníctvom vypracovania strategického dokumentu pre oblasť dopravy, konkrétne vypracovania Plánu udržateľnej mobility (PUM), Plánu implementácie a monitoringu PUM a Aktualizácie Plánu dopravnej obslužnosti (PDO) KSK. Cieľ projektu je v súlade so špecifickým cieľom č. 1.2.1 zvyšovanie atraktivity a konkurencieschopnosti verejnej osobnej dopravy v rámci investičnej priority č. 1.2. Realizáciou projektu dôjde k aktualizácii výhľadových dopravných charakteristík, parametrov a služieb Košického kraja s ich priemetom do reálneho návrhu riešenia dopravy, ktorý bude zohľadňovať možnosti finančných prostriedkov kraja vrátane fondov EÚ. Vypracovaním strategického dokumentu bude aktualizovaný aj PDO podľa zmien v dopravnom dopyte a so zohľadnením podkladov z realizovaných prieskumov pre spracovanie diela, definovaný rozsah verejného záujmu, stanovené prognózy vo vývoji verejnej dopravy a určené hlavné zámery v oblasti verejnej dopravy, zároveň určí dopravno-prevádzkové podklady a hodnotiace kritériá pre hospodársku súťaž na obsluhu územia pravidelnou autobusovou dopravou so zreteľom na budovanie integrovaného dopravného systému.
