The project deals with insulation of the building and building modifications related to it – Faculty of Security Engineering of the University of Žilina, block B, which is located in the center of Žilina on May 1st. In the premises, university students have been educated since 1967, when the building was schooled.The renewal of the faculty is carried out with reference to the results of the energy audit, which identified its insufficient thermal and technical characteristics and suggested ways to improve this condition. The aim of the project is to reduce the energy intensity of the building and to bring it closer to the current energy standards. The shape and characteristics of the building will remain unchanged, the project implementation will result in insulation of the outer casing, roof, soklík, construction modifications of the surrounding area/okapic path, tree felling in close proximity to the building/. Part of the project is the replacement of heaters, distribution of central heating, replacement of existing lighting for LED lights and hot water treatment by solar system located on the roof. This change will reduce the overall energy intensity of the building. Insulation of the building zabezpečí:zvýšenie thermal resistance of perimeter walls and building structuresincrease the surface temperature of interior walls, roofsincrease accumulation properties of walls, roof helps to increase the resistance of the building to weather conditions (rain, humidity, snow, frost, sunlight) etc.A conveniently designed insulation system also improves the aesthetic appearance of the building.Replacement of heaters and regulation will reduce heat consumption for heating.Pastive gain with solar system will ensure zero energy consumption for hot water heating.The project also includes interior repair after insulation.  The proposed changes will reduce the overall energy intensity of the building from the current energy class C to the A1 class, the building will become the implementation of the ultra-low-energy project.     V rámci projektu je riešené zateplenie objektu a stavebné úpravy s tým súvisiace – Fakulty bezpečnostného inžinierstva Žilinskej univerzity v Žiline, bloku B , ktorá sídli v centre mesta Žilina na Ulici 1. mája. V priestoroch sa vysokoškolskí študenti vzdelávajú od roku 1967, kedy bola budova skolaudovaná.Obnova fakulty je vykonávaná s odvolaním sa na výsledky energetického auditu, ktorý identifikoval jej nedostatočné tepelno-technické vlastnosti a navrhol možnosti, ako tento stav zlepšiť. Cieľom projektu je znížiť energetickú náročnosť budovy a priblížiť ju k súčasným energetickým štandardom.Tvar a charakteristika objektu zostane nezmenená, realizáciou projektu dôjde k zatepleniu obvodového plášťa, strechy, soklíka, k stavebným úpravám okolia /okapový chodník, výrub stromov v tesnej blízkosti budovy/. Súčasťou projektu je výmena vykurovacích telies, rozvodov ústredného vykurovania, výmena jestvujúceho osvetlenia za LED svietidlá a úprava ohrevu teplej vody a to solárnym systémom umiestneným na streche. Táto zmena zníži celkovú energickú náročnosť budovy. Zateplenie objektu zabezpečí:zvýšenie tepelného odporu obvodových stien a stavebných konštrukciízvýšenie povrchovej teploty vnútorných stien, strechyzvýšenie akumulačných vlastnosti stien, strechypomôže zvýšiť odolnosť objektu proti poveternostným vplyvom (dážď, vlhkosť, sneh, mráz, slnečné žiarenie) atď.vhodne navrhnutý zatepľovací systém zároveň vylepši estetický vzhľad objektu.Výmena vykurovacích telies a vyregulovanie zníži spotrebu tepla na vykurovaní.Pasívny zisk so solárneho systému zabezpečí nulovú spotrebu energie pre ohrev teplej vody.Súčasťou projektu je aj oprava interiéru v nadväznosti na zateplenie.  Navrhované zmeny znížia celkovú energickú náročnosť budovy zo súčasnej energetickej triedy C na triedu A1, budova sa stane realizáciou  projektu ultranízkoenergetická.
