The National Project Effective Management of Spatial Data and Services (ESPUS) addresses the issue of improving the functioning of public administration through efficient access and use of spatial data and services. Although public administrations create and use a wide range of these data sources, their sharing and use in a society-wide context falls far short of their potential. The ESPUS project will use and improve the existing legislative framework defining the National Spatial Information Infrastructure (INSPIRE) and will ensure that the availability, quality and usability of spatial data and services is enhanced through synergies with eGovernment activities. In order to achieve effective access to and use of this digital spatial content and functionality, ESPUS will provide an organisational and methodological framework by implementing effective spatial data management. Last but not least, the project will provide expert capacity support, including strengthening awareness-raising in the area in question. (English)

Národný projekt Efektívna správa priestorových údajov a služieb (ESPUS) adresuje problematiku zlepšenia fungovania verejnej správy vďaka efektívnemu sprístupňovaniu a využívaniu priestorových údajov a služieb. Napriek tomu, že organizácie verejnej správy vytvárajú a využívajú široké spektrum týchto údajových zdrojov, ich zdieľanie a využívanie v celospoločenskom kontexte zďaleka nedosahuje ich potenciál. Prostredníctvom projektu ESPUS sa využije a zlepší existujúci legislatívny rámec definujúci Národnú infraštruktúru priestorových informácií (INSPIRE) a prostredníctvom synergie s aktivitami elektronizácie verejnej správy (eGovernment) sa zabezpečí zvýšenie dostupnosti, kvality a využiteľnosti priestorových údajov a služieb. Na dosiahnutie efektívneho sprístupnenia a využitia tohto digitálneho priestorového obsahu a funkcionality ESPUS zabezpečí organizačno – metodický rámec zavedením efektívneho manažmentu priestorových údajov. V neposlednom rade projekt poskytne odbornú kapacitnú podporu, vrátane posilnenia zvyšovania povedomia v predmetnej oblasti. (Slovak)

(English)
