The main objective of the project "Increasing literacy to a better future of students of St. Gymnasium. John Paul II." is an improvement in the quality of the educational process by improving students’ learning outcomes in the field of mathematical, reading, financial and science literacy. Fulfilling the main goal of the Gymnasium of St. Ján Paul II, which is an organizational component of the United School of St. Paul. Ján Paul II in Poprad will significantly help his pupils in preparing for study at universities as well as in applying in future working life. Secondary school was given the task of helping their students to be more successful in their school, mastering teaching, actively participating in the teaching process and learning practices related to the higher education system. The project has three main activities. The first is the creation, innovation, implementation of educational programmes aimed at enhancing science, mathematical, environmental, language, ICT skills, including financial literacy, including entrepreneurial knowledge and economic thinking, which includes the inclusion of extra hours in the school education program, extracurricular activities, excursions and the procurement of goods and teaching aids to increase the literacy of secondary school students. The second activity is to support the development of key competences of pedagogical and professional staff, including in the areas of language and ICT skills, where we include the education of pedagogical and professional gymnasium staff and the creation of pedagogical clubs. The third activity is the management of the project, which will be implemented through the salary expenses of the staff managing the project. 87 students will be involved in the project, while the number of participants who have completed the activities is planned at 75. The planned number of participants who have improved competences and skills 6 months after completing the programme is 60. The number of pedagogical and professional staff involved in activities to enhance professional competences is 20, the number of pedagogical and professional staff who will increase their professional competences through the activities is planned at 18. Hlavným cieľom projektu „Zvýšením gramotnosti k lepšej budúcnosti študentov Gymnázia sv. Jána Pavla II.“ je zvýšenie kvality výchovno-vzdelávacieho procesu prostredníctvom zlepšenia študijných výsledkov študentov v oblasti matematickej, čitateľskej, finančnej a prírodovednej gramotnosti. Naplnením hlavného cieľa Gymnázium sv. Jána Pavla II, ktoré je organizačnou zložkou Spojenej školy sv. Jána Pavla II v Poprade, výrazným spôsobom pomôže svojim žiakom pri príprave na štúdium na vysokých školách, ako aj pri uplatnení sa v budúcom pracovnom živote. Gymnáziu si dalo za úlohu pomôcť svojim študentom byť úspešnejšími vo svojej škole, zvládať učivo, aktívne sa podieľať na vyučovacom procese a osvojiť si študijné postupy príbuzné s vysokoškolským vzdelávacím systémom.Projekt má tri hlavné aktivity. Prvou z nich je tvorba, inovácia, realizácia vzdelávacích programov zameraných na zvýšenie prírodovedných, matematických, environmentálnych, jazykových, IKT zručností vrátane finančnej gramotnosti vrátane podnikateľských vedomostí a ekonomického myslenia, v ktorej je zahrnuté zaradenie extra hodín do školského vzdelávacieho programu, mimoškolská činnosť, exkurzie a obstaranie tovarov a didaktických pomôcok pre zvýšenie gramotností študentov gymnázia. Druhou aktivitou je podpora rozvoja kľúčových kompetencií pedagogických a odborných zamestnancov vrátane oblastí jazykových a IKT zručností, kam zaraďujeme vzdelávanie pedagogických a odborných zamestnancov gymnázia a vytvorenie pedagogických klubov. Treťou aktivitou je riadenie projektu, ktoré bude vykonávané prostredníctvom mzdových výdavkov pracovníkov riadiacich projekt.Do projektu bude zapojených 87 študentov, pričom počet účastníkov, ktorí absolvovali aktivity je plánovaný na 75. Plánovaný počet účastníkov, ktorým sa zlepšili kompetencie a zručnosti 6 mesiacov po absolvovaní programu je 60. Počet pedagogických a odborných zamestnancov zapojených do aktivít na zvýšenie profesijných kompetencií je 20, počet pedagogických a odborných zamestnancov, ktorí si prostredníctvom aktivít zvýšia profesijné kompetencie je plánovaný na 18.
