Mesto Povaská Bystrica je verejným poskytovatežom sociálnych sluieb. Poskytovanie opatrovatežskej sluby je základom pre uspokojenie potrieb odkázanej osoby na pomoc inej osoby v jeho prirodzenom prostredí. Mesto Povaská Bystrica ako iadatež v projekte Podpora opatrovatežskej sluby má za ciež napĺňa potreby odkázaných osôb na opatrovatežskú slubu prostredníctvom jej sprístupnenia vetkým, ktorí ju potrebujú. Opatrovatežská sluba je základnou terénnou sociálnou slubou. Ako verejný poskytovatež, chce mesto Povaská Bystrica vychádza v ústrety vetkým, ktorí o túto slubu poiadajú. Projekt značne zvýi kvalitu a dostupnos opatrovatežskej sluby na území mesta iadateža.
