The general objective of the project is to create a “Research Center in Advanced Manufacturing Ecotechnologies – TEHNOPOLIS” competitive at national and international level, in the form of a single, integrated space that manages equipment useful in the development of ecotechnologies, capable of providing an adequate framework for development/improvement of the educational and research process in the field of intelligent autonomous automotive manufacturing, by upgrading and equipping the CF Building Corps with new equipment, as part of the existing educational infrastructure of the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest – UPB. The project aims to modernise the educational infrastructure of the CF Corps, by creating a technological space for unique education as a structure, integrating laboratories of different specialisations, useful in the educational process, but also allowing interdisciplinary activities, through virtual connection of the component laboratories, for the development of complex projects. The aim is therefore to restructure the existing laboratories in the CF Building Corps, but also to create new ones, equipping them in accordance with the requirements of a modern education system, combining various educational technologies, the equipment with state-of-the-art equipment, allowing the implementation of application works integrating state-of-the-art industrial technologies, with the transformation of the entire space into a high-performance, focused on the fields of ecotechnologies and information technology, dedicated to university students. Through this general objective, the project aims to increase the educational and R & D capacity of the university, creates the prerequisites for knowledge transfer in areas of smart specialisation, contributes to the growth and diversification of the innovative educational offer of CPO and to increase the relevance of tertiary university education in relation to the labour market and competitive economic sectors. In this context, the project fully meets the objectives of the Regional Operational Programme (ROP) 2014-2020, Priority Axis 10 Improvement of Education Infrastructure, Investment Priority 10.1 Investments in education, and training, including vocational training, for skills acquisition and lifelong learning through the development of education and training infrastructures and Specific Objective 10.3 Increasing the relevance of tertiary university education in relation to the labour market and competitive economic sectors.
