The general objective of the project is in line with the specific objective of the Investment Priority 5.1 and is the preservation, protection and valorisation of cultural heritage and cultural identity in order to boost local development on sustainable and competitive criteria in Orăștie Municipality, Hunedoara County. The project “RESTAURATION, CONSERVATION AND CONSOLIDATION CETATEA Orăştia” proposes the realisation of a local investment that generates a regional, national and European impact, by highlighting an architectural monument. Order 3936 of 21.11.2016, issued by the Minister of Culture, ranks the historic monument The Fortress Wall with the eastern, southern and western towers in category II-architecture, m-monument, value group A, with code in LMI HD-II-m-A-03376.01, as a sub-component of the historical monument ensemble Citadel Orăștie located in Nicolae Bălcescu Street, Orăștie Municipality, Hunedoara County. The city of Orăștie, the most “historic” locality of Hunedoara County, records during the last European programming period a sustainable development both from a social, educational, cultural, but also economic point of view, with beneficial effects of human resources in this area by creating new sustainable jobs with added value. The investments made in the 2007-2013 programming period have created the prerequisites for a local dynamic that underpins and outlines the guidelines for the next phase, around five strategic objectives such as: 1. Orastie – a smart, accessible and coherent city 2. Orastie – a green city with efficient public services 3. Orastie – a competitive and creative city 4. Orastie – a European cultural and touristic sight 5. Orăștie – a city with performing people (English) | |||||||||||||||
