Este projeto pretende modernizar o sector agroalimentar da região Norte através de duas linhas de I&D&I. Na primeira, pretende-se aplicar a genómica a três níveis do sector agroalimentar: (1) Produção (2) vigilância sanitária e, (3) recursos florestais. Na segunda, pretende-se compreender os mecanismos de gestão da biodiversidade e o equilíbrio agroambiental para o desenvolvimento da produção sustentada, segurança alimentar e ecoturismo. This project aims to modernise the northern agri-food sector through two lines of I&D&I. In the first, the aim is to apply genomics at three levels in the agri-food sector: (1) Production (2) health surveillance and (3) forest resources. In the second, the aim is to understand the mechanisms of biodiversity management and the agro-environmental balance for the development of sustainable production, food security and ecotourism.
